Alyn Topper is the one of the most sought-after hairdressers in the biz, styling the sexy, glistening strands of many of Hollywood and New York’s elite, and designing some of the most glamorous hairstyles to hit television, film, print and Fashion Week runways on both Coasts.

Alyn’s work is regularly featured on popular television shows and in record-breaking, Hollywood blockbuster movies. He's currently on set at Extra TV, as the head of department, giving the show’s celebrity host, Mario Lopez, and his co-hosts, Tracey Edmonds and Charissa Thompson, their on-camera looks. Alyn has also become one of the most requested hair stylists in the industry, often on assignment for coveted, recurring gigs that have included styling Heather Thomson for The Real Housewives of New York City, Carolyn Manzo for The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Phaedra Parks for The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Alyn has also been hand-picked to style on location for box-office smash sensations; including, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, a film that racked up the title of tenth highest-grossing film in North America and the highest-grossing film of The Hunger Games series.

But, it’s Alyn’s past, recurring gigs, that helped him build a long Rolodex of A-listers, who hire him to create that perfect, alluring on-camera ‘do. He’s created looks for The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Wendy William's Show, The Fabulist, The Nate Berkus Show, Bad Girls Club, X Factor and Chicago's ABC 7 News This Morning; also working his magic on Unilever’s national ad campaign for Suave and guest hosting on QVC, attracting numerous viewers and creating overwhelming demand for InStyler, with his upbeat personality. Alyn’s also captured the eye and attention of beauty editors as his trendsetting, contemporary work and expert style advice has been featured in the pages of The Huffington Post, InStyle, Marie Claire, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Interior Design, Chicago Social, TimeOut Chicago, Chicagoist and the Chicago Sun-Times.

By creating haute and versatile looks, Alyn first caught the eye of many influencers on Bravo’s hit reality TV series Blow Out, a highly-rated reality TV series that initially made him a household name in entertainment. In front of millions of viewers, he sculpted dynamic new shapes and designed unique color palettes. Praised for his artistic vision and passion for excellence, word quickly spread about Alyn’s fashion-forward looks and coiffed, sultry manes. His elite client roster quickly grew to include Rachel Zoe, Tony Goldwyn, Maria Bello, Ryan Paevey, Jennifer Coolidge, Julie Gonzalo, Carrie-Anne Moss, Cloris Leachman, Cheryl Burke, Daniela Ruah, Kristin Cavallari, Rob Estes, Renee Bargh, Depeche Mode, Gloria Gaynor, Adam Lambert, The Pussycat Dolls and X Factor’s Bea Miller and CeCe Frey.

For Alyn, who’s based in Los Angeles, it’s not only about beautiful, cutting-edge style, but the emotion attached to every glimmering strand. Alyn grew up in the small town of New Harmony, Indiana. At 14, he would watch Friday night videos to spot the chicest hairstyles and colors and then try them on himself or on his adventurous friends. He trained in London at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy where he mastered his technical skills, adding new and edgy techniques that would later help launch his name onto the pages of the little black books owned by the well-heeled.

Along with his gifted eye, attention to detail and down-to-earth demeanor, Alyn’s greatest and most unique gift is his ability to morph Uptown glamour with Downtown edginess, creating classic style with the latest fashion trends to ensure that every woman who sits in his styling chair achieves their best look--a truly empowering experience that’s every vixen’s secret weapon.

When not on set creating camera-ready looks for Extra TV, or on assignment in front of or behind the camera, you can catch Alyn working the chair, dividing his time between Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, creating the next much-hyped ‘do for television,
film, editorial, runway—or styling at his private clients' residences in the Hollywood Hills, Upper East Side or Chicago’s exclusive
Gold Coast.
